Perth limo hire cheap prices warning
Unfortunately there is a growing concern when hiring limos in Perth that we are hearing about on a weekly basis from disappointed customers who have booked a limousine. Basically what is happening is bookings are being cancelled at the last minute or limos are just not turning up
What is happening is operators are quoting for a time slot already booked at a higher rate, if the second customer makes a booking, the first customer quoted a cheaper rate loses there booking and usually gets a phone call on the day of their booking and told there has been a mechanical problem or they have double booked the time slot.
We have had calls from customers at the last minute searching for a limousine because the company they had booked with has cancelled and left them high and dry without a limo. It’s just not a social booking but weddings, school balls and special occasions that have been canceled. It has become a problem not only during the peak periods but also in the quieter months during winter.
This is happening as these operators want to fill dates and book as many jobs as possible; once they fill these dates they then try to make more at the expense of the customer. School ball season is a prime example of this as there is always more work available than there is limousines to cater for the demand as there could be up to 5 school balls on the same night. Some customers have paid ridiculous prices (up to $2500) for the night. This is wrong, and unfortunately we are all paying the price for the actions of a small minority.
The perfect example of this was when a customer booked a certain limo and was rang 2 days before the date to say there was a mechanical problem with the limo and it would be unavailable and the job was canceled . The funny thing (or not so funny) part of the story was when the customer seen the very same limousine they booked parked outside they same venue the school ball was held and a fellow classmate had booked the limousine last minute at a much higher rate

Whats your limo riding on
My partner was talking to a customer about our limovan the other day and they happen to mention they liked the fact that our van didn’t look like an up market trades van from the outside because of all the chrome accessories and the 18 inch rims. I posted a blog about passenger safety while travelling in Perth limo vans and the comment about the rims and all the dramas that went into sourcing them reminded me of the safety factor about them and why it was a lot of trouble to source the right ones. All Perth limousines have to pass an inspection for roadworthy and part of the requirements is that the vehicle has the correct load rated rims and tires for that limo. Don’t get me wrong I love bling and bigger the better. Some limos in Perth however are fitted with rims and tires that are not load rated for that vehicle. When we sourced the 18’s there was only 2 manufactures in the world that specially made a custom rim load rated, tested and approved by the vehicle manufacturer to fit a sprinter van, both of which are located in Europe. Then we had to source tires which was easily done locally, but to suit the vehicle 18’s again was the largest available. So when looking at limousine hire it’s just another thing to consider sure big rims look great but are they safe. Remember do your research before you hire.
